Chief Vigilance Officer

Pahalwan Gurudeen Mahila Mahavidyalaya is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, integrity, and ethical conduct in all academic and administrative activities. The Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) oversees vigilance-related matters and encourages a culture of honesty, fairness, and good governance within the institution.

Responsibilities of the Chief Vigilance Officer

  • Promote transparency and accountability in institutional administration.
  • Prevent corruption, malpractice, and unethical practices.
  • Receive and examine vigilance-related complaints.
  • Ensure fair inquiry into complaints following institutional rules.
  • Recommend preventive and corrective measures.
  • Conduct awareness programs on ethics and integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the complaint-handling process.

Scope of Vigilance

The Vigilance Committee deals with matters related to:

  • Administrative irregularities
  • Financial misconduct
  • Violation of institutional rules
  • Misuse of official authority
  • Unethical professional conduct
  • Procurement and purchase-related complaints
  • Examination-related malpractice
  • Any issue affecting transparency and institutional integrity

Complaint Procedure

  1. Submit a written complaint with complete facts and supporting documents.
  2. Mention your name and contact details. Anonymous or frivolous complaints may not be considered.
  3. The complaint will be acknowledged and examined by the Vigilance Committee.
  4. If required, an inquiry will be conducted while maintaining confidentiality.
  5. Appropriate recommendations and action will be taken in accordance with institutional rules.

Confidentiality

The identity of the complainant and all proceedings shall be kept confidential to the extent permitted under applicable rules and regulations.
